AND then make an issue out of it being used in an article about bearing testimonies? Seriously people, if an image like that is so sacred to you why is it online at all???? Over react much? If this was an article written by a straight active LDS man, you'd be honored. Did you even read the article? I'm s...Christian, let me start with an apology. I'm sorry I used this image without your permission. I check that email account once a week and am just now seeing your displeasure at my use of this image. I will take it down as you requested. I can appreciate that you're just being a protective parent.

I must add, however, that it's unfortunate for you to use words like "creepy" and "minor", as if I'm some kind of sex offender. This entry begins with my account of sharing my testimony as a kid. I didn't happen to have a picture of me as a child/teenager bearing my testimony, so I simply used Google images and did a search for youth and testimony. I don't know your son, it's just one of the first images that came up. Again, as requested, I'll remove it now.

I can't help but wonder if you would've reacted so strongly if this blog were written by someone who more closely shares your views. I'm sorry to cause you any degree of anger and I'll happily comply with your request.

-NateNaked Natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09315324753533335005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9149863372348528498.post-47418285586555164292015-09-08T06:25:45.198-06:002015-09-08T06:25:45.198-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Christianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12279661138338844813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9149863372348528498.post-35344806275166954842015-09-02T00:50:36.039-06:002015-09-02T00:50:36.039-06:00Interesting article. It must come from living in the same area for a long time, which I have not. In reading this Doctrine & Covenants 46:13-14 came to mind. Often it can be a gift that they know as you mentioned about Elder Mckonkie and other Apostles, or a belief turned into knowledge over a lifetime of works of faith. That knowledge is never used to hurt, but uplift, mend and strengthen that we all might be one with Christ in love. Ephesians 4:15; 3:19. I've always looked at this as a recipe through life's storms. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-23.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9149863372348528498.post-57978389293120336192015-09-01T16:08:13.462-06:002015-09-01T16:08:13.462-06:00There is certainly room for improvement when it co...There is certainly room for improvement when it comes to making safe space for individuals to work through questions of faith and belief within the culture of Church. I hope that there might be more earnest efforts to help all people feel comfortable sharing expressions of faith and belief whatever their phraseology or degree of belief/faith. It seems like in the end the Lord knows the purpose and desire behind each expression and honors each persons real intent and sincere efforts to live the gospel of Jesus Christ despite human weakness. I thought the talk "Lord I Believe" does well to address some of the same points raised in this thoughtful blog post. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/04/lord-i-believe?lang=eng&cid=email-shared Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12151138851871017939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9149863372348528498.post-80746887434539312032015-09-01T10:44:13.941-06:002015-09-01T10:44:13.941-06:00Thank you. Then came the time when I didn't know if I actually knew, or if I was just saying it because everyone else was. I don't know why believe is viewed as such a dirty word in the church. miss kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06146662055102145257noreply@blogger.com
